Dear Sir or Madam,

Coming to a movie theatre (or screen) near you, it’s our second e&Co. Expert Talklink, our new format for us to offer you insights into the discussions going on in our Think Tank. Watch the second video in the series in which Dr. Engelbert Wimmer and Jan-Henrik Thomas talk about “postheroic leadership” and what ideal management will look like in the future. Spoiler: managers have to change if they want their organisations to unfold their innovative potential – and survive in the Digital Value Economy. Leadership is, first and foremost, teamwork. It’s not a role, but rather a task. And leadership means learning and coaching in equal measure. Which is why we think of CEOs as “Chief Exploration Officers”.

Corporate Start-Up Engagement
How to invest with tangible returns.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are the core of our economy, but are having trouble with the waves of change set off by digitisation. This endangers the ability of family businesses and owner-run champions to innovate and, as such, their future. In this white paper, we join forces with our partner, venture capital expert and fund manager Berthold Baurek-Karlic to sketch out solutions for small and medium-sized businesses: Corporate Start-up Engagement (CSE).

Taking companies to new heights.

Many companies, especially in Europe, are currently planning to outsource their infrastructure resources into innovative Cloud solutions – and there are very good reasons for doing so. The advantages of the Cloud are self-evident: highly standardised on-demand solutions which can be scaled up, at any time and at insignificant cost. Whether large corporates or family-owned champions, organisations of all shapes and sizes can use the Cloud to help them break out of problematic outsourcing contracts or to start scaling back their own expensive data centres. What is more, new, innovative business models and services of the kind needed in today’s corporate environment can be accelerated by Cloud solutions. Our e&Co. End-to-End Cloud Delivery Model covers all relevant and necessary aspects of this transformation.

Under the title “Meet // Your // Future”, our consultant Tim Froehle held a successful digitisation event in Vechta.

Magazine Business Punk highlighted the: „confident self-irony with which the organisers of this IT conference for the Oldenbuger Münsterland region opted for such a provincial sounding name – because the programme is anything but provincial!“ And it really wasn’t, with tech giants such as SAP and Microsoft on hand to meet the start-ups and companies of this region of north west Germany and a range of inspiring keynotes (including one delivered by our CEO Dr. Engelbert Wimmer), not to mention numerous workshops and intensive networking sessions on the themes of digitisation, developments in IT, and cyber security. Then there was the spectacular after-party… Here’s to Tim, who was able to offer his home region an event of real value – and indeed to show what we mean with our company motto: “Enabling value”.

Impulse lecture and podium discussion at the ITB Business Travel Forum in Berlin.

“Disruptive models and digital insurgents have discovered business travel!” That was the title of a lecture delivered by Dr. Engelbert Wimmer (e&Co.) and Ludger Bals (Travel Consulting Group) at the ITB Berlin, followed by a podium discussion in which various aspects of the effect of digitisation on business travel were thrashed out. What became clear was the travel managers will need to evolve from their roles as static auctioneers for their departments into pro-active innovation scouts and responsibility-orientated coordinators within digital eco-systems. The special podium guest, Christopher Bergau from Airbnb, shared details of its new approach for business travellers.
