VALUE LETTER

OCTOBER 2015

eandco

Dear Madam/Sir,

Now that the summer is over, we are looking back at what we have achieved thus far at e&Co. AG, and are very proud to report that our reputation for securing fast-action results helped us to sign a range of highly interesting clients both in Germany and abroad. As such, we are continuing straight on from our previous successes: while market growth in Asia has slowed somewhat, our South Korean office can boast an impressive influx of commissions to work on growth and innovation; in Japan, our project caseload is stable.

With this path to growth set, we are hiring new additions to our core team and, in accordance with our company positioning of ‘enabling value’, are confident of being able to master the next round of challenges with our clients – and relishing the opportunity to do so.

Regardless of the area in which we are consulting, we always work at the forefront of developments, especially on topics which are currently of the utmost importance such as transport, mobility, digitisation, and the new business models they will combine to form. In addition to the range of client projects we are working on in this area, we have been pooling our insights, ideas, and visions in a new, extensive research initiative: we are now grouping the resulting concepts, theories, and recommendations under the name Digital Value Economy. As a player in transport systems, we are sure that the results will be of great interest to you.

In line with the requirements of our clients, our consultancy services in the sourcing advisory area have also moved up a level, and nowhere is this evolution clearer than in our IT sourcing. We are now orientating requirements more towards the supply side of the market, moving away from the requirements in the organisations, and this approach is put into context in an exciting white paper by our in-house expert Roger Albrecht, “The Workplace of the Future – How companies are responding to digitisation.”

We are looking forward to hearing what you have to say on these issues and hope you enjoy reading our Value Letter.

Best regards,

Dr. Engelbert Wimmer & Hanns Peter Becker

The increasing digitisation in all areas of society is opening up a wealth of new opportunities to shape the future of personal and freight transportation. At breakneck pace, new areas of business are coming into being, new partnerships and dependencies being created – and new risks being taken. While size and, later, speed have been the defining commercial advantages in Automotive thus far, the new players in the market are staking out their territory with intelligent networking. Welcome to the integration economy! In our Digital Value Economy, research project, scheduled for early 2016, we will be examining this historic change in the transport industry and offering recommendations on what to do and how to shape the future. Excited? You’ve every right to be. Take a sneak-peek at our work here.
